Blood Flow Restriction Training
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training is a technique that combines low intensity exercise with blood flow occlusion that produces similar results to high intensity training.
The aim of BFR training is to mimic the effects of high intensity exercise by creating a hypoxic environment using a cuff. The physiological stress created by limiting the outflow of blood with the cuff results in an increase in cell swelling, hypoxia and a hormonal response similar to heavy load training at times when high intensity, heavy load training isn't possible due to recent injury, surgery or joint pain.
At KOOP we have the latest cuff technology available to insure a safe and highly effective Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training experience for our clientele.
