SJ is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Korea National Sport University. His passion for human movement began as a personal trainer, where he developed a deeper interest in injury mechanisms, assessment, and evidence-based treatment to provide better care for his clients. This led him to move to the U.S. to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego, CA, known for its manual therapy training.

During his clinical rotations, SJ gained experience in diverse hospital settings, from acute care to outpatient rehabilitation, giving him a comprehensive view of patient care. Since graduating, he has worked exclusively in orthopedic clinics, focusing on identifying the root cause of dysfunction through comprehensive evaluation and tailored treatments, including manual therapy, spinal manipulation, therapeutic exercises, patient education, and movement-based strategies.

A former personal trainer, soccer coach, and ski instructor, SJ has been active in sports and fitness since childhood. He believes a healthy mind resides in a healthy body and is passionate about helping others move and feel better. His interest in holistic care also led him to enroll in a Master of Science in Acupuncture program, seeing it as a powerful complement to physical therapy.
